There isn’t currently an easy way (that I could find) to get Jetpack comments to behave the way you’d like them to.

You’re not alone though, and perhaps if you add your voice to that thread you’ll get someone’s attention.

That’s not why I am posting a comment, it’s just that you’re in exactly the same position I am!! (I am in the UK by the way). I don’t care that you’re not compliant, that’s your can to carry and it probably doesn’t matter for you. But for me in the UK it’s a big deal with threats of fines etc etc. Good old nanny state!

I want to use JETPACK comments, not standard WP comments. The plugins above are GREAT for making default WP comments GDPR compliant, but they don’t make Jetpack comments compliant. I want to use Jetpack comments because of the social login feature (the ONLY plugin that does that without a load of app and api coding rubbish, which I can’t do as I don’t have facebook or any other social accounts, but my readers do!)

Do you know of a plugin which inserts a consent checkbox in Jetpack Comments?
